United Way of Central Eastern California (UWCEC) & Community Action Partnership of Kern (CAPK) are proud to present Feeding Families First, a collaborative summer food distribution. This is a community-driven response supported by partnerships with CAPK and regional grocery retailers.
We’re looking for dedicated volunteers to help bring this effort to life at our Bakersfield Location.
Volunteer roles include:
- Greeters/Registration: Welcome attendees and assist with check-in.
- Traffic Control/Safety: Ensure smooth traffic flow and maintain a safe environment.
- Sorters: Organize and prepare food items for distribution.
- Food Prep Station: Assist with packing and prepping meals.
- Meal Distributors: Hand out meals to families.
- Floaters: Provide flexible support wherever needed.
