Greetings from the Y2LEF Cash for College Team!
First and foremost, thank you for signing up to be a C4C Workshop Volunteer! Our volunteers make our workshops a success. The program's goal is to assist as many students as possible to complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) OR their California Dream Act Application (CADAA).

Volunteer Recruitment Information:
Y2LEF is recruiting volunteers for its entire 2024-2025 Cash for College season, which begins once the FAFSA/CADAA applications open on December 1, 2024. To become a C4C Workshop Volunteer, you must have/be the following:
- Be at least 18+ years of age,
- Have reliable transportation,
- Have experience working with small to large group of students,
- Have open availability in the afternoons-evenings (i.e. 3:00 - 8:00 PM),
- Preferably be an enrolled college/university student that has filed a FAFSA or CADAA application.
- Complete a Cash for College Train-the-Trainer webinar session- visit this webpage to see upcoming webinar sessions
Note: When visiting the Cash for College Train-the-Trainer webinar webpage, you only need to register for one session and ensure you attend. It is optional if you want to complete the prompted survey after the webinar session to receive your Cash for College Champion Certification. You do NOT need to host your own workshop(s), as indicated on the webpage. You only need to attend a webinar session to consume knowledge and be prepared to help at Y2LEF's C4C Workshops.
If you miss these Cash for College Train-the-Trainer webinar sessions, Y2LEF's C4C Team is more than happy to train you. Once you have signed up for workshop dates, one of our Cash for College Program Coordinators will be in contact regarding other training information.
Post Sign Up Process:
Once you have submitted this Google Form, a Cash for College Program Coordinator will be in contact to confirm your sign-up dates within 1 to 5 business days.
If you can no longer attend a workshop that you are signed up for, please contact a Cash for College Program Coordinator as soon as possible prior to the workshop date. Volunteers are an important aspect to the success of our workshops. Therefore, it is essential Y2LEF can provide schools with the best professional support and resources.
Dress Attire:
Y2LEF Staff/AmeriCorps Members: Please wear your Y2LEF polo, staff, or camp shirt.
Community Volunteers: Please wear a plain t-shirt or polo with jeans or slacks, free from explicit graphics, rips or tears. In addition, volunteers will be given a "Y2L Volunteer" sticker to wear during the workshop. Thank you for your cooperation!
